Marcia Bennett is proud to be entering her 6th year of affliation with John Boylan and Centre for the Arts. Over those years at CFA, Marcia has, at various times, taught Film Scene Study for Teens, Audition Workshops, Film Scene Study for Adults, as well as occasionally and happily conducting a session on Auditioning for the Camera during the popular and successful Teen Film Camp held during March Break and in the summer. Marcia has received high praise and is well respected by talent agents and casting directors for her work as an Audition Coach. A professional actress for over 36 years, Marcia is a member of ACTRA, SAG, CAEA and AEA. Most recently she recieved a Dora nomination for her role as "Julia" in MADRE (Aluna Theatre Company) at Theatre Passe Muraille. Her work in television and film is extensive, high-lighted by her recurring role as May Silverstone in the first season of the award winning series, SLINGS AND ARROWS. Other credits include FUGITIVE PIECES (Jeremy Podeswa), STILL SMALL VOICES (Mario Azzopardi), THE STONE ANGEL (Kari Scogland), ABOVE AND BEYOND (Sturla Gunnarsson), MASTERS OF HORROR, ("Sick Girl" episode, Lucky McKee), THE WOODS (Lucky Mckee), PLAGUE CITY (David Wu), THE WOOL CAP (Stephen Schacter). Marcia holds a BA in Drama from the University of Evansville, IN and an MA in Theatre from the University of Missouri.
