Marcia Bennett listens to the actors

Acting Workshop for Film & Television
Overview

Film Acting with Marcia Bennett places special emphasis on learning how to decipher a film scene. If you find yourself needing to feel more knowledgeable about making strong choices based on text, this class is an essential. Throughout the course, actors will be given a variety of scenes from different genres of film and television scripts. Students will work with partners to illuminate the given circumstances of the scenes, to bring to bear their own imagination, to pay attention to their acting partners and to explore discoveries within the scene. Actors are given a lot of camera time, all of which is recorded on DVD for their personal use and review. Also included in the course are opportunities to explore the differences between auditioning for a role and playing the role, once you've been cast.
