Training

John Boylan at work

Acting Workshop for Film & Television
Overview

Actors suitable for this course are serious about being professional actors. They should have some basic training, have an agent or be actively seeking one, auditioning and have some performance experience. As a device to work with each actor at their own level we will use scenes from the best written screenplays. The work will be with two-handed scenes with two passes of the scene the first night and a third pass the following class. This course lets the actor log time in front of the camera; the experience of doing the work is the most profound. You will develop your ability to analyze a scene, play truthfully and strengthen your confidence in front of the camera. The work will be recorded on DVD.
