Ingrid Doucet and Brian Rhodes watch
a scene with John Boylan

A John Boylan On Camera class begins
with a ballet warm-up

Acting Workshop for Film & Television
Overview

Actors in this class must all have had training, have agents, be auditioning and have considerable experience as an actor. We treat specific areas of the actor's work in this class to open up the ability of the actor to 'deliver' on demand. The class provides the condition for the performer to develop their artistry, their technique to let us see them. The goal is both to assist the actor to get more work and develop their art of acting. The work will use two-handed scenes from feature films - two passes of the scene on the first night and a third pass the following class. This course lets the actor log time in front of the camera; the experience of doing the work is the most profound. You will develop your ability to analyze a scene, play truthfully and strengthen your confidence in front of the camera. Your work will be recorded on DVD.
