Teens and instructors on the first day

Successful Presentation of Teen's Spoken Word and Soliloquies

On Sunday May 28, friends and family came to support the Youth Association’s Shakespeare for Teens: Soliloquies and Spoken Word performance. Over four weeks, the teens learned how to write and speak original poems and also learned how to articulate and make Shakespeare’s soliloquies their own.The teens gave interesting and creative performances. Judy Bew, grandmoter to participant Kaetlyn said that she “ thoroughly enjoyed the presentations by all the students last Sunday.  It was really englightening to hear what was in their minds and thoughts.”

The workshop instructors were all trained and experienced young professionals who are part of Centre for the Arts Training the Trainers program.  Thank you to all of the instructors, Justin Tensen, Oonagh Duncan, Al St. Louis, PJ Lazic, the advisor, Patrick Garrow and to the teens for a successful event!
