After graduating from Memorial University in Cornerbrook he acted in the first season of the Atlantic Theatre Festival. In a café one day when he was beginning his career in film and TV in Toronto I told him he probably should cut his hair if he wanted to book commercials. ‘God, what have I gotten myself into!’ he said and dropped his head onto the counter. Stunned. A terrific actor who did book good roles Darren said it caused too much anxiety, so he began writing. Now a published novelist having written Flight and Creeps. We salute Darren’s hard work in writing those novels, his persistence in getting them published and his example to all of us that we’re capable of doing many different things. More success to you, Darren!
