‘My audition could have been better’.

The audition you do at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning is the best audition you can do at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

If you could have done better you would have.

There’s no need to set yourself up for constant regret. You’re already in the business of auditioning and acting in movies and TV, so just keep going.

That’s the key - just keep going.

If you want to summarize, critique, or analyze your audition—that’s good.

The best way to do this is to pick one point to work on, not a dozen, which will only confuse you.

Thinking you ‘could have done better’ also confuses your mind. What we really want is to be getting our mind clearer.

What is clear is that you prepared your scene, and tried your best at that time, on that day.

Leaving the audition is as important as going in because it sets you up for the next one, so try and leave with a clear head.

Job done.
