Severn has done lots of TV including SAVING HOPE, MURDOCH MYSTERIES, BOMB GIRLS, but the theatre is where she really has shown her talent. As a DORA award winner for direction and a creator of many beautiful roles she has a high place in the community. She embodies two best qualities: honesty and humility. Her straightforwardness is respected and appreciated by all. Her mother and father, Ann Anglin and Paul Thompson, have held the flag of new and independent Canadian work high and Severn continues to keep that flag flying by making the art and culture of this country useful to the people who live and work here. Congratulations on all your work and best wishes for continued success.
The Shout-Outs recognize and celebrate colleagues work and lives.
The people here have a commonality with me in being part of the film and theatre community and having faced similar struggles to keep going and take their place.
Most of them have some similarities in method and ideas on the work.
The Shout-Outs also give a chance to see fifty years of history in the performance world in Canada. They show that continuity of individuals in the industry both in their quality and the quantity of work.
An opportunity for those entering the profession to see and read about those who have gone before them.
