A2609 Safety Guidelines

When weapons are to be fired, the Producer, through the Stunt Coordinator, shall use best practices to ensure that all Performers directly involved, including those Performers at whom the weapon is aimed or fired, are properly trained.

Gun Safety Guidelines

ACTS

A         Assume every gun is loaded

C         Control the muzzle direction at all times

T          Trigger finger must be kept off the trigger

S          See that the gun is unloaded

PROVE it safe.

PROVE

P          Point the gun in a safe direction

R         Remove magazine or clip

O         Observe the cartridge is empty

V         Verify the feeding path is empty

E          Examine the bore
